The Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) was founded in 2001 as a California 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. Its mission is to support individuals in the arts—artists, culture bearers, and creative entrepreneurs—to realize greater self determination so as to unfetter their productivity, free expression, and social impact, which contributes to shaping our collective national identity in ways that reflect the diversity of society.
CCI is a grantmaking intermediary. Our role is to ensure that information and resources flow from institutions to individuals, which we do by providing financial support to artists and arts workers, professional trainings and workshops, convenings, and commissioning primary research.
CCI offers various statewide and regional grant opportunities for individual artists and arts workers with open application cycles occurring throughout the year that center a range of disciplines and focus areas. (Learn more about our grant opportunities here.) For this reason, we are recruiting a diverse pool of panelists in terms of field of experience, background, and place of residence. Panelists should have an interest in the grantmaking process and in supporting individuals in the arts. All CCI grant panelists receive an honorarium for their valuable time and efforts.
Prospective panelists will be selected based on the needs of the particular grant panel and contacted by CCI staff to discuss panel participation and commitment (includes, but not limited to, online training, independent application review and scoring, and a virtual panel review meeting). Applicants' information will be kept on file for two years (2022 and 2023). We will only contact you if are being considered for an upcoming panel.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact CCI at grants@cciarts.org.
