Introduction to Bookkeeping in Nonprofit Organizations

This is a nuts-and bolts workshop covering the fundamentals of bookkeeping. It has been designed for those with no formal accounting background. Topics reviewed are the accounting equation, how to create and use a chart of accounts, debits and credits, capitalization and depreciation, and cash vs. accrual accounting. The application of debits and credits to every day accounting transactions is discussed and implemented in theory.
