Anavictoria Avila

Anavictoria Avila is an attorney and joins the Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) as Program Manager of CCI’s advocacy initiative to support artists of all disciplines, gig workers, and creative entrepreneurs. She has extensive experience in arts & entertainment law, constitutional law, and legislative advocacy. Additionally, she brings more than eight years of experience developing partnerships, legislative campaigns, and impact litigation to advance racial and economic justice. She is an attorney who deeply understands financial disparities and systemic inequality, and she brings extensive insight for finding practical solutions to create sustainable change. Anavictoria is also independently a seasoned artist, muralist, and business owner. She is driven by her passions for community empowerment, social justice, and uplifting the history, contributions, and needs of Latin American communities.

Before joining CCI, she was faculty at Berkeley Law School’s Policy Advocacy Clinic, where she taught law and policy students while also advancing legislative campaigns to eliminate juvenile court fees and fines in multiple states, including California, Illinois, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Puerto Rico. Anavictoria has a B.A. in American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, Chicago.
