The City of Ventura along with the Ventura County Arts Council and the Center for Cultural Innovation present
Grantwriting Fundamentals

with Corbett Barklie

In this workshop, we will review the components of grant applications including: budgets, work samples, project narrative and best practices in presenting yourself in a grant proposal. We will then focus on reviewing and advising on grant proposals that are near completion, using the upcoming City of Ventura Cultural Funding Grants application (due June 20, 2016) as a "real-world" example. You will leave this workshop with a better understanding of the overall grant process and feel empowered to begin applying.

Since 2002, Corbett has been an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California, School of Dramatic Arts.
