Social Media Strategies for Artists

In 2015, social media needs to be an element of every artist's toolkit for promotion and fundraising – but by golly, it can be overwhelming trying to figure out how to represent oneself on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr!

Social Media Strategies for Artists is for those who have already begun using some of the major social networks and are ready to learn more effective techniques to promote themselves and their work. As a participant in this workshop you will learn to increase your visibility by capitalizing on sharable elements of your artistic process and you will begin formulating a plan that will help you build an engaged online audience.

In this 3-hour session you will:

  • Learn about examples of successful social media branding and promotional campaigns
  • Brainstorm and craft a content and engagement strategy
  • Learn about paid social media marketing strategies including Facebook ads, targeting, and how to gauge success
  • Learn about tools and processes to grow a social media following

**It is recommended that all participants have a smartphone, tablet or laptop so as to best take advantage of the session, but it is NOT required.**
