DESCRIPTION:Microaggressions: A Training for the Dance Field, facilitated
  by Beatrice Thomas\n\npresented by The Bridge Project, in partnership
  with Kambara+ and Dance Mission Theater\n\nSaturday APRIL 24, 12PM 
 - 3:30PM (PST)\n\nEVENT DESCRIPTION\n\nThis training will give participa
 nts a greater understanding of how microaggressions operate in performin
 g arts spaces, the impact of these everyday forms of racism on BIPOC ind
 ividuals, and strategies for countering and eliminating them. As part o
 f this training, participants will engage with microaggression case stud
 ies in small, facilitated groups. This training is for people with a ba
 sic working knowledge of racism, bias and discrimination. \n\nThis is 
 an online event taking place on Zoom.  You will receive a Zoom link via
  email one day prior to the event.\n\n----------------------------------

 tor of Authentic Arts & Media, is a national multi-disciplinary artist, 
 cultural strategist, and creative producer. Whether through creative pro
 duction, consulting or equity, diversity, and inclusion workshops, Mx. T
 homas' focus is on uplifting and centering queer, transgender, and POC v
 oices, with special attention to creating queer-inclusive family program
 ming. They are a pillar of Drag Queen Story Hour, serving as director of
  the SF Bay Area chapter, on the Leadership Team for the national organi
 zation, and as a featured drag queen. Beatrice’s work has illuminated 
 the audiences of the deYoung Museum, SF PRIDE Mainstage, CounterPulse, S
 omArts Cultural Center and KALW Radio, and has shown in galleries across
  the United States. Currently, they serve on the national board of direc
