Selling Your Art, Selling Yourself, and How to Feel Comfortable Doing Both can be most stressful to many artists. This workshop is designed to help you find your way. Do you "really" know what you want for your art career?  Are you properly planning and marketing to reach your goals?  Is your portfolio ready to show to galleries? Do you know which galleries to approach? Do you know how to approach them? Learn how to best represent yourself, your work, and determine the right course for your art career in this intensive practical workshop. You will be provided with in-depth knowledge and insider perspective of the Los Angeles art world. In this workshop you will be guided through the process of preparation to promote your work and develop the relationships necessary to advance your career. 

About the Trainer:
A. McLean Emenegger is a curator, art writer, art consultant, former gallery director, and visual artist. She has been providing artist career coaching and business of art workshops since 2004. She has presented her lectures and workshops through the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, Santa Monica Museum of Art, UCLA Extension, Los Angeles County Arts Commission, Santa Monica College, Center for Cultural Innovation, and Pasadena City College among many others. The former managing editor for the visual art publication THE Magazine L.A., she currently serves as Contributing Editor for the international artist collection magazine Bluecanvas and writes their artist advice column. Ms. Emenegger launched the art consultancy firm Milo + McLean in 2010 and founded McLean Fine Art in 2004. As Director of Bandini Art Gallery, Culver City, CA, she curated many of its critically recognized exhibitions. She served as Executive Director of the visual art nonprofit Gallery 825/LAAA, and presented numerous exhibitions and educational programs that received public and critical acclaim. Prior to Gallery 825, she worked at the Santa Monica Museum of Art. Her independent curatorial projects have been reviewed in the Los Angeles Times, Artweek, Artscene, Review magazine, The Huffington Post, among others. Her art reviews and articles have been featured in multiple publications, including flavorpill.
