Do your knees shake at the mere thought of giving a presentation? Would you like your presentations to be more effective? You're not alone! Public speaking is the number one fear in our country. Learn how to hone your speaking skills, whether making a presentation to co-workers, clients, funders, or the public. You will learn how to: understand the qualities of effective speakers; identify 3 key elements of presentation; assess your audience; prepare an effective presentation; choose appropriate language and content; manage your nervousness; use your voice and body language effectively; and practice and evaluate your presentation skills. This workshop will include hands-on exercises and skills practice.

Please NOTE:

  • Participants should come to this workshop prepared with a short (3 minute) presentation on the topic of their choice.
  • Participants will be videotaped and will receive constructive feedback from the trainer and classmates in a supportive environment.
  • We recommend you bring your smart phone, flip cam or your own digital camera (with video camera feature) to record your presentation so you can take it with you at the end of the day.  Otherwise, we will email you the file a few days after the class.

Registration costs $165 to $245. This workshop runs July 23, 2015 in Oakland, CA.
