The Business of Art™ - Entrepreneurial Training for Artists
Artists and creative entrepreneurs who take CCI's signature 8-week program, Business of Art™, learn key business skills that provide them with the knowledge and resources to help advance their art, develop their ideas, and increase their financial independence. Business of Art™ classes are taught by a variety of business leaders with experience in both corporate and nonprofit entities. Students learn key concept involved in goal-setting, strategic planning, marketing and self-promotion, money management, legal issues, and project financing. In addition to classroom training, all Business of Art™ students participate in cluster counseling sessions with leading arts and business professionals.
Workshops begin Saturday, March 29, 2014, and continue with 7 Wednesday sessions to include:
Session 1: The Business of Art: Presenting Yourself as an Artist - Nancy Walch
Session 2: Where Do I Begin? Setting Your Personal Goals - Nancy Walch
Session 3: Marketing and Promoting Yourself, Your Art, or Your Arts Business - Nancy Hytone Leb
Session 4: Legal Issues for Artists - Greg Victoroff
Session 5: Financial Literacy and Money Consciousness for Artists - Mari Riddle
Session 6: Financing Your Arts Project or Business - Corbett Barklie
Session 7: Where Do I Go From Here? Strategic Planning - Judith Teitelman
Session 8: Cluster Counseling and Final Wrap-Up - trainers to be announced
